Why I'm Not posting for a while---

I know I'm way late putting up a freebie but I just can't get my brain thinking about new designs. You see I lost 2 of my cousins, sisters, at Christmas. They wouldn't get flu shots even though they both had illnesses that made them more likely to get really ill and it caught up with them. They almost lost their Mom and aunt, who had their shots but also had underlying illnesses, last summer so you'd think they get over their fear of the shots but no. So I lost 2 women I grew up with and I'm sad but also super mad. Until I deal with it all I think I'll be blocked. I took a free art retreat last week called 'Women Unleashed' and it helped me accept the anger but now I have to release it to move on.

I hope to get back by Feb.

Please get your covid shots and wear a mask. Please be considerate about other people and have compassion for everyone. Please be kind.

Big Sale at my Etsy store

I decided to run a December sale and it's 25% off all PDF patterns including this new one I just finished for Christmas. I've never run such a large discount and it will go away on Jan 5,2022.

Ok, I admit I'm not a church goer but I do believe. And at this time of year when so many people are concerned with the amount of gifts they want, have to  buy, and all the expense I felt the need to design this passage. It's a reminder that Christmas isn't a day to fill the house with gifts but with compassion for others.

Hope your holiday, no matter how or what you celebrate, is filled with love.

December Free Embroidery

Here's an easy embroidery for December. Many of you may be really busy getting ready for the holidays so I wanted to do something with just embroidery, no applique. The outer edge is just 2 rows if stem stitch with all 6 strands of floss. I then added seed beads in between the rows. The rest of the embroidery back stitch and french knots with 3 strands of floss. This would be great done on a dark fabric and the poinsettias done in white.

Right click the pattern to save it to your hard drive. You'll need to print a pattern for tracing.

November Free Embroidery

Late as usual but here it is. I'm still dealing with a bad case of the blues since losing Dillon and had a hard time deciding what to draw. Once the leaves started turning such pretty colors (LOVE maples!) I knew a simple branch would be prefect for me to do. If it's spring where you are do the leaves in shaded of green and add some french knots or seed beads in a pretty color for flowers.

Right click the pattern to save it to your hard drive. You'll need to print a pattern for tracing or since this is such a simple design you could free hand draw it. The heart is the same size as all the others from this year so if you printed any of the other patterns you have the right size.
