New FREE Vote Pattern To Embroider

Here's another free pattern to inspire you to vote. This one has fabric appliqued on one side with rows of chain stitch. The text is back stitched and the fireworks are just straight stitches. I added seed beads to the centers. It''s another quick and easy pattern to make!

Right click the pattern to save it to you hard drive. BTW, I suggest not tracing the fireworks. That way you won't have to worry about the ink lines showing. If you really want them in the same place make a small dot for the center. You'll need to print a pattern for tracing then you'll need to cut out the right side for the fabric pattern. You may want 2 patterns printed.

Here's what I'm doing with my embroidered pieces. This is a white cotton tote I bought and it's perfect for attaching the finished pieces to. I cut them out with pinking sheers then machine sewed them to the tote. I had planned on sewing them on with various embroidery stitches but wanted to start using it ASAP. This side has the 2 red, white & blue votes while the other side will have other colors.

Come back for more free vote embroidery patterns. I have 2 more done and 2 more to finish.

VOTE embroidery freebie!!

Doesn't matter who you vote for, just VOTE.

My family has members of both parties and we've learned "don't talk politics if you want to get along". Save it for people who think like you.

This is a quick one to embroider. If you don't like the applique pieces add your fav embroidery there. I used red and navy embroidery floss. The text is backstitched with 2 strands of Dmc navy 336. The rest is done with 2 strands of Dmc red 321 to do blanket stitch. Then I used the navy floss to wrap the top of the blanket stitch.

I cut out the heart with pinking shears because I'm going to sew all the ones I'm going to share to a tote bag. Now I've spilled it, I'm designing more free VOTE embroideries! And they'll stay up for FREE!!!

Bill Watson, rest in peace

My nephew, Bill Watson, passed away this morning at home with his wife, kids, and parents with him. It's only been 10 weeks since he was found to have stage 4 cancer.
This picture is an old one of us. Bill is only about 17 or 18 in it. In the front is Peg and Jack. Next is me, Mom, and Bill, with John in the back.
Rest in peace Bill, we love you.

Sorry, the next free embroidery is late

I have a very good reason for being late with this month's freebie. My nephew is in the hospital again fighting stage 4 cancer. He's not doing well so it's hard to feel like working for long on designs. I do have a series of vote hearts traced and ready to embroider, I just have to get on with it.
This is a pic of the very first free embroidered heart I designed. I redid it with white fabric for the post but this one is calling to me to be sewn with these rose print fabrics. Seems like a good saying to have right now again.
