Another Free Embroidery for March

Here's the monthly embroidery for March. I always think of windy weather when March comes around. I've even designed a quilt block with kites for a club I used to belong to for their March project.

I appliqued 1 piece of fabric for the kite but you could do all 4 sections or just embroider the lines.  Maybe add a lazy daisy flower or 2. I couched the lines with all 6 floss threads. The tail is 2 strands black done in back stitch and then lazy daisy stitches added along it. The black back stitch from the tail go into making the h in March. All of the text is back stitched. The cloud is back stitched in light gray with a white running stitch inside. The sun circle is stem stitched, the points are back stitched, a straight line goes in each point, and a running stitch goes around the circle and the points. The heart is chain stitched with 2 rows of running stitch. The running stitches are used to attach the heart to the background fabric.

Right click the pattern to save it to your hard drive. You'll need to print a pattern for tracing then you'll need to cut it out for the fabric pattern. You may want 2 patterns printed.

March Embroidery Freebie

Be Kind is something I really believe in SOOOOOOO much. That and have compassion towards others. I even have a ball cap with Bee Kind on it. Since my first name begins with 'B' and I'm always rushing about, I've always been called 'busy as a bee' by my Mom. It's an easy one and you'll see that the text is different on the embroidered piece and the pattern. I decided to write the words instead of tracing them. Feel free to do the same :)

I turned this embroidery into a fob that I hang on my purse. The back is a purple print and it's stuffed with a bit of polyfil. I hand sewed the purple ric-rac along the seam line and added more yellow beads.
